Why we size equipment to the house

We install Mitsubishi Electric, Bosch, Trane, and Viessmann equipment, sized to your house rather than whatever is currently installed. A lot of older equipment is oversized, especially in homes that have since been insulated, and a system that's too big for the house doesn't run efficiently.

Boilers: we install wall-mounted, steam, and traditional floor-standing boilers. Water heaters, tank and tankless: replaced when yours fails, or serviced when it needs it.

Heat pumps

Heating and cooling from one system

Heat pumps move heat instead of making it, so one system heats in winter and cools in summer. We service all types of heat pumps, ducted and ductless, all different brands.

$8,500Up to this much in Mass Save rebates on a qualifying heat pump system in 2026
0%Mass Save HEAT Loan financing up to $25,000, with lender approval
Mass Save

The rebates require a contractor in the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network. Reliable HVAC is in the network.

How the rebates work
  • Whole-home rebates are for heat pumps that become your only source of heating and cooling: $2,650 per ton, up to $8,500. The home has to meet Mass Save's weatherization requirements.
  • Partial-home rebates are for keeping an existing boiler or furnace to supplement the heat pump: $1,125 per ton, up to $8,500.
  • For 2026 rebates, equipment has to be installed during 2026 and the rebate form received by February 28, 2027.
  • Amounts and rules change every year. We'll confirm what applies to your home at the estimate.

We returned from Thanksgiving to no heat in our house. … Ian showed up within hours of receiving my call. The problem was much larger than we anticipated and I ultimately needed the entire furnace replaced. Ian and his team were able to find a new unit and have it installed the same day.

FAQ

Heating questions

How fast can you get here if I have no heat?

Call (508) 560-6595 and we'll tell you when we can get there. We take no-heat calls nights, weekends, and holidays. After-hours, weekend, and holiday calls are billed at a higher, expedited rate. Please call rather than use the form for emergencies.

How much does a furnace or boiler repair cost?

It depends on what's wrong. We diagnose, explain the details of what's needed, and provide an estimate prior to any repairs, so there are no surprises.

How long does a furnace or boiler last?

An industry study puts typical furnace life at 15–20 years and boilers at 13–21. ENERGY STAR suggests considering a replacement once a furnace or boiler is more than 15 years old.

Should I replace my old boiler or furnace with a heat pump?

It depends on your home, and we install both. Mass Save offers rebates of up to $8,500 on qualifying heat pump systems in 2026, and 0% HEAT Loan financing up to $25,000 with lender approval.

What kinds of boilers do you install?

Wall-mounted, steam, and traditional floor-standing boilers, for gas and propane.

Do you work on tankless water heaters?

Yes. We service and replace standard tank and tankless water heaters. Tankless units should be flushed at least once a year to clear mineral buildup. See tankless flushing.
